Windows 7 Beta Upgrade: Windows Update Broken

On both machines that I upgraded to Windows 7 Beta, I could not check for updates without getting the error code 0x80072F8F.

For some reason, the time service was stopped (even though it was set to Automatic).  Restarting it solved the issue.

You upgraded? you're in trouble come August first when they stop working should have installed on a separate partition.

Yeah, I'm not worried about that. You should be able to install the RC over the Beta and then the official release over the RC.

And if not, no big deal. Installing from scratch is pretty easy.
