cqrs for dummies – an interlude – notes from Greg Young’s USA Weekend Class

Greg Young has been doing a number of EventBrite Live Meeting type sessions over the last month.

I haven’t been able to attend any of them, but Jeff Doolittle posted a summary (if you can call a 17-page PDF a summary) of the latest one.

Good stuff, check it out.

Wow, so glad I read through that. The notes about the domain event already capturing the full context of the change to the domain model state, and thus not needing the ORM entity tracking, punched me right in the face.

The notes may look like a jumble of ideas, but I found that after having experiencing implementing the CQRS concepts on a production application they all made a lot of sense. The appropriate background helps a lot.

Thanks for posting this up.

Well, thank Jeff, really.

Yeah, I found it enlightening to read through, makes a lot more sense now than it would have a year ago.
